Adding Calendars to Your Device
Mobile Devices
iPhone
- Open the Settings App (From the home screen, swipe Left to Right or Top to Bottom to search, then enter "Settings")
- Scroll down and tap on "Mail, Contacts, Calendars"
- Tap "Add Account"
- Tap "Other" account at the bottom
- Tap "Add Subscribed Calendar" at the bottom
- Enter the Calendar URL in the "Server" field
- Enter a Name for the calendar in the "Description" field
- Tap "Next" to add the calendar, then "Done"
Android
- On a desktop computer, open the following link in a browser:
http://calendar.google.com/ - On the left side, under "Other Calendars" click "Add by URL"
- Enter the Calendar URL in the "URL" field
- Click "Add Calendar"
- On your Android Device go to the following location:
Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > Calendar - Click "Clear Data"
- On your Android Device go to the following location:
Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > Calendar Storage - Click "Clear Data"
- The Android Device will re-sync the calendar data from Google and the calendar will show up
Windows Phone
- Open the following link in a browser:
http://calendar.live.com/ - Click "Import" on the top of the site
- Click "Subscribe" on the left side of the site
- Enter the Calendar URL in the "Calendar URL" field
- Enter a Name for the calendar in the "Calendar name" field
- Click "Subscribe"
- On Your Windows Phone, go to the following location:
Settings > Email & Accounts > Windows Live - Long Tap on "Windows Live" till an option for "Sync" appears
- Tap "Sync"
Blackberry
- On the home screen, swipe down from the top of the screen
- Tap the Settings Icon (Gear)
- Tap "Accounts"
- Tap the Add Email icon (envelope with '@' sign and '+' sign.
- Tap "Subscribed Calendar"
- Enter a Name for the calendar in the "Calendar Name" field
- Enter the Calendar URL in the "Server Address" field
- Tap "Done"
Desktop Applications
Windows Live Mail
- Open the following link in a browser:
http://calendar.live.com/ - Click "Import" on the top of the site
- Click "Subscribe" on the left side of the site
- Enter the Calendar URL in the "Calendar URL" field
- Enter a Name for the calendar in the "Calendar name" field
- Click "Subscribe"
- Open Windows Live Mail
- Click "Send/Receive" and select "All Calendars"
Outlook
- Close Outlook
- Open Windows Control Panel
- Open the "Mail" applet (Under "User Accounts" in Category View)
- Click the "E-Mail Accounts" button
- Click on the "Internet Calendars" tab
- Click "New..."
- Enter the Calendar URL in the box
- Click "Add", then "Close", then "Close"
Older Versions of Outlook Don't Support Internet Calendars and Require Third Party Plug-ins to use them
Thunderbird - Lightning
- On the top right, click the Settings Menu (Three Lines)
- Click the Arrow to the right of "New Message"
- Click "Calendar"
- Choose "On the Network" and Click "Next"
- Enter the Calendar URL in the "Location" field and Click "Next"
- Enter a Name for the calendar in the "Name" field, Click "Next" and Click "Finish"
Apple Calendar
- Click "File" and select "New Calendar Subscription"
- Enter the Calendar URL
- Click "Subscribe"
- Enter a Name for the calendar in the "Name" field and Click "OK"
Online Calendars
Google Calendar
- Open the following link in a browser:
http://calendar.google.com/ - On the left side, under "Other Calendars" click "Add by URL"
- Enter the Calendar URL in the "URL" field
- Click "Add Calendar"
Yahoo calendar
- Open the following link in a browser:
http://calendar.yahoo.com/ - On the top center, click the "Actions" dropdown
- Click "Subscribe to Other Calendars"
- Enter a Name for the calendar in the "Calendar name" field
- Enter the Calendar URL in the "Calendar URL" field
- Click "Continue"
Outlook.com calendar
- Open the following link in a browser:
http://calendar.live.com/ - Click "Import" on the top of the site
- Click "Subscribe" on the left side of the site
- Enter the Calendar URL in the "Calendar URL" field
- Enter a Name for the calendar in the "Calendar name" field
- Click "Subscribe"
